Who wants to go to Heaven? I do! Welcome to our family focused Sacramental Prep program at Mary, Queen of Peace! We believe that through the family a child is taught, formed, and nurtured in the faith. In Mend & Nourish, parents journey along side the child and resound their "I do" given on the day of their child's baptism to promise to raise their child in the Catholic faith. We realize this can be a difficult task. In response, we have created a program to equip parents to deepen their understanding of the Sacrament of Confession and Holy Eucharist and provide parents the tools they need to pass on the Catholic faith to their children. We live our faith rooted in Sacred Scripture and Tradition. Jesus tells us in John 14:6, “I am the way, the Truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Through living a sacramental life we encounter Jesus in the Sacraments and we are given the grace to follow the narrow path leading to our true home in Heaven. In partnering with parents during this sacred season of children receiving the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, we answer the call of Jesus to “let the little children come to me” and teach children the mercy of God in confession and the true presence of the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist through the power of the Word.
