- This year, at MQP we are offering three distinct ways to help those who are in need within our community and beyond.
- 1. Local Families
  Adopt a specific Angel. Fill out the Adopt an Angel form on this page (MQP parishioners only, please). You will be contacted within 24 hours (or less) with a list of 3 gifts requested by that Angel.
  Donate money for shoppers to use for toys or food gift certificates; please make check out to MQP; note in the memo “Christmas Local” and place check in the offertory or drop off at Parish Center
  Donate wrapping paper and supplies
  Donate batteries, all sizes
  
  2. North Carolina (Hurricane Relief for St Andrew, Mars Hill)
  Donate - PLEASE NO CLOTHING new or like-new items: Christmas toys, Winter outerwear wear and winter boots, hand and foot warmers, camping equipment and supplies, first aid kits, detergents, and solar- powered chargers, space heaters (Many people there are living in their yards.)
  Ages 10-16 are in the greatest need of “Christmas” gifts
  Donate visa or gas gift cards, or checks, please make check out to MQP; note in the memo “Christmas NC” and place in the offertory or drop off at Parish Center.
  
  3. Volunteer December 7-14.
  Toy room: sort toys, daily shifts available Dec 7-14
  Bike and toy building room: put together toys and bikes together, daily shifts available Dec 7-14
  Distribution: Saturday, Dec. 14, 9 am to 1 pm
  Shoppers: Dec. 8-10
  Delivery: deliver gifts to recipient’s homes Dec. 14-21
  Participate in evening family volunteer opportunities
  Bake desserts for families we adopted and deliver to MQP on Friday, Dec. 13
  Provide snacks, desserts, and drinks for volunteers working full-day shifts, daily from Dec. 8-14
  Pray for our Comfort and Joy for families in need and our volunteers

  Storage space at MQP is limited, so drop-off will take place December 7-9 at the church or parish center.
  
  Gift cards and checks may be dropped off anytime in the offertory or at the parish center. If you need to drop off donations early, contact Cherie Erkel to schedule. Know that you give more than just a “gift.” You give hope and love.

- Mary, Queen of Peace invites you to take part however you can through our Comfort & Joy program. Comfort & Joy includes our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, Christmas Angel Tree outreach, Shoe Collection from our five loaves ministry to the homeless as well as other times through out the year to help those in need.
